NGC 3 day Nature CAMP
With the Guidance and Support from Andhra Pradesh National Green
Corps, we have conducted Nature Camp in Harina Vanasthali National
Park, Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad.
Why Prakrithi Mitra – NGC Nature Camps:
Nature Camps help us to discover new songs of birds. They lead us into new ways of nature. They give insights into life on earth. Give firsthand knowledge on insects around us. ‘Nature Camp is Experiential Learning’. It is one of the finest ways of learning. Nature Camps are based on my involvement and my evaluation. They introduce us to conditions where we work in teams. Nature Camps make full use of what is naturally available. Efficient use of available resources is a precondition there.
They make us to interact with nature.
We can learn about natural ecosystems in Nature Camps.
The goal is to give every child a chance to be with nature at least for a day.
This experience is precaution against their being subjected to Nature Deficit Disorders.
Young people who want to do something for the society....Or Make Difference....Can now focus on this
aspect... They can help in taking the children to nearest place of natural beauty.....Give them an opportunity to play with the trees... sing with the birds....and gaze at the sky and ....befriend the nature....
In today’s towns and cities, full of buildings and vehicles…it is important for the young people to learn from nature. And understand the natural heritage. We also need to instill a responsibility towards our fast disappearing natural eco-systems. Education shapes attitude of the young. Nature camps use innovative methods. They ensure effective learning. They make ‘young’ see for themselves the state of their environment. Close interaction with nature instills curiosity.
