Earth Day Cycle Rally with Knock the Door concept

Under the National Green Corps programme, Jagruti has conducted the Cycle Rally on the eve of Earth Day (April 22nd). Few schools from Vanastalipuram, Hyderabad had joined the rally with 150 students nearly in total. Students passed through the streets in a rally, with their own bycycles. Upto 2 km. 

Rally has passed the message to the public 'Cycle you way' & 'Recycle your waste'.

To the first of its kind, Jagruti has designed and included a heart touching program called 'Prati Inti Talupu Tadadam (Knock the Door)" by kids. Students those who participated in the rally without cycles personally went to few homes. Knocked the door. Gave the households Paper bag and the pamphlet of the program.

We took efforts to sms all the schools, local persons and tried to mobilize the maximum people for the program. We hired a person for one month and has prepared Paper bags especially to distribute in this program.

Finally, It is happy that few parents have personally called and congratulated that the concept of the program is good and thought provoking.

Kush... :) ...Whatelse... But... 

It will be also happy if few of them own up the habit of using cycle or walk for short distances and give up the unnecessary usage of the polythene carry bags. We feel happy only with that result.
