Vice Chairman of Jagruti Abhyudaya Sangham, Mr. Badrinath Gandhi has inaugurated the Rain Water Harvesting PIT today, in his new site, where he is planning to construct a house. He choose the World Water day relevant for this responsible move, rather than seeing any other Good Time as per Astrologer. Appreciating our effort to promote the concept in our zone, and also coming forward to implement the same, ZONAL Commissioner of GHMC -East Zone has visited the place as a Cheif guest and laid the inauguration stone for the pit. Jagruti Abhyudaya Sangham has been trying its level best to promote the Awareness on necessity of Rain Water Harvesting pits, & other simple Techniques of harvesting Rain water based on the location of the houses. మేలుకుంటే కోలుకుంటాం    A DISCUSSION ON FOREST DAY to know our role in protecting Forests     Each year more than 13 million hectares (32 million acres) of forests are lost, an area roughly the size of England. As go the forests so goes the plant and animal species they embrace – 80% of all terrestrial biodiversity . Most importantly, forests play a crucial role in  Climate Change including Global Warming: deforestation causes 12-18 percent of the world's carbon emissions – almost equal to all the CO2 from the global transport sector.  Equally crucial, healthy forests are one of the world's primary 'Carbon Sinks'. It is not too late to reverse this destructive trend if we act now. Forests still cover more than 30% of all the world's land and contain more than 60,000 tree species, many still undiscovered.
