We (Jagruti Abhyudaya Sangham) have requested today the Hon'ble Mayor-GHMC to make an announcement on praying Clay Idol Ganeshas during Ganesh Chaturthi Festival. As everyone knows, the Plaster of Paris Ganeshas that are available today in the market with Hazardous Chemical colours, are certainly a threat to the Water bodies and there by ground waters of the sorrounding areas and the areas through which the water body/ diverted water from that water body, passes by. People are also not recognizing the devotional assault they are playing towards GOD. Somewhere, we are submerging those Idols in POLLUTED PONDS which are also linked by Drainage water lines. Instead, if every household could realize this, and if they could use Clay Idol Ganesha and do 'Nimajjan' of that idol in a BUCKET Full of pure water at Home and use that Holy water for Plants will certainly bring blessings of that Almighty and is Eco Friendly way to do that.
