Changing Lifestyle- A Solution- To Save Na(Fu)ture

 Jagruti conducted a workshop today on Roof Gardening with the name "Inti Panta" in co-ordination with Sakshi Newspaper. The workshop has immense response from the environment lovers of Vanasthalipuram and Saroor nagar division. Nearly 400 people has visited the workshop to know the techniques of Roof Gardening and to clear their doubts on that. Resource persons (Agricultural Scientists) from Center for Sustainable Agriculture have demonstrated various techniques of roof gardening.

Today I have started a open group in Facebook called 'Green Friends'. I believe that to reduce CFC (Chloro fluoro Carbons) we should increase this GFG (Green Friends Group).

Under the National Green Corps programme, Jagruti has conducted the Cycle Rally on the eve of Earth Day (April 22nd). Few schools from Vanastalipuram, Hyderabad had joined the rally with 150 students nearly in total. Students passed through the streets in a rally, with their own bycycles. Upto 2 km.  Rally has passed the message to the public 'Cycle you way' & 'Recycle your waste'. To the first of its kind, Jagruti has designed and included a heart touching program called 'Prati Inti Talupu Tadadam (Knock the Door)" by kids. Students those who participated in the rally without cycles personally went to few homes. Knocked the door. Gave the households Paper bag and the pamphlet of the program. Media has covered this program interestingly. We took efforts to sms all the schools, local persons and tried to mobilize the maximum people for the program.   Jagruti Strongly supported the moment started by Anna Hazare against Anti Corruption and demand for the JANA LOK PALL BILL. Jagruti beliefs that the Corruption is the hidden and MAIN reason for the environment problem. We could not even BAN PLASTIC due to this Corruption.  Forests are being cutting down to extract coal for power plants, where the politicians also have chance to encourage the environment friendly technologies like Solar, Bio Mass, & Wind power economically. It is True that the ultimate effect of Corruption are Natural Calamities.  The cyclic effect of these non eco friendly decisions by our corrupted policy makers and bureaucrats like... giving permissions to the polluting industries, importing the given up technologies by the developed countries, unwanted encouragement to the Real Estate, SEZ, etc will ultimately become reason for Global Warming due to depleting Forest lands, Polluting rivers etc. ప్రజల అలవాట్లు, నాయకుల పొరపాట్లు... వెరస...
