As a part of that, today we have release the Eco Diwali posters, which aimed to educate the school students and the public towards celebrating Diwali in an Eco friendly Way. Eco Diwali, includes using crackers which deliver sounds in limits.  any noise above 90 decibels risks injury to the ears and the louder the noise the shorter exposure needed for damage. The seemingly harmless, ‘Pleasing to eye’ colorful sparkles are synthetic and toxic because of the presence of cheap materials causing Skin disorders, Respiratory problems, & even Cancer. September 16th is International Ozone Day.  Many of us... Mostly the EDUCATED (?) are really neglecting the Great Help done by Ozone to us.  Instead, we are damaging Ozone with our irresponsible and uncontrolled habits in our Luxurious LifeStyle.  Few products that we use in our Daily Life, like, AC, Fridge, Body Sprays, Room Sprays, Teflan Coated Utensils, Foam beds (During their manufacture), etc releasing CFC gases into the Atmosphere. Because these products are made up of the chemical substances like Chlorine, Flourine, Carbon, Bromine etc To spread this message into the public, Jagruti Abhyudaya Sangham has conducted Umberella Rally with its members. We used Umberellas to show symbolic that Ozone is acting like Umberella to our Earth. Everyone of us, shall take a pledge in this regard. We should live Eco Friendly Life. If not, atleast, we should go for the Eco Friendly labelled products. Create a demand, and put pressure on the Government and Companie...

Ganesh Nimajjan - Eco Friendly Way

Image
As per the suggested way by our elders, we should get Clay from near by lakes and make it a Idol and Pray it and do the Nimajjan in the same lake. This is to increase the water storage capacity of those Lakes behind this Tradition. But, now a days this is not possible for all and especially to the people living in Urban and Semi urban. Clay brought from distant lakes are made Idols and sold in the Urban areas. Those Idols are done Nimajjan in the near by Lakes or Ponds. To avoid the sequential problems of filling Clay Idol Ganeshas in one lake, which reduces the storage capacity of the Lakes, Jagruti Abhyudaya Sangham followed this Eco Friendly Way. We have done the Nimajjan of Clay Idol Ganesha of our office, in a Bucket full of pure water. Later when the Idol is mixed in water, We have used that water to plant the Trees. This is agreed and is also being followed by the Traditional Brahmin families. Infact, why to merge our lovely Ganesha in the impure water of our pre...

It is important to DO rather than to just KNOW, for ENVIRONMENT Protection. To motivate the students in strictly using the Clay Idol Ganesha at their homes, we have organized this workshop under the guidelines of the National Green Corps. Free Clay is supplied by NGC for this program. Nearly 15 schools have participated in this workshop. With the 'LADDU-GUDDU' concept, we have trained the students how to make the simple clay idols even with hands if we do not have clay idols readily available in the market. Students themselves have hidden Artist in them The clay supplied to the Students took different shapes and finally evolved into beautiful Ganesha idols in their golden hands.
